Well keep in mind that dies all wear in the same direction.
They flow towards the closest rim.
1. Date to the right.
2. Liberty to the left.
3. Motto, above those devices.

Everything else also flows towards the closest rim.
Die flow lines in the fields are in the direction of the closest rims.

Yes, I see some Die Deterioration, but mostly damage.

Just like a motor running in a car, it causes wear to show more on some parts more than others. Crankshaft bearings more so than the rest of the crankshaft. So with dies the squashing of the metal movement affects the die more on the outside edge,because of the metal being forced that way. Eventually it all turns bad.
