Beautiful example - I'm not good at judging full steps, but certainly this has to be a solid 65 or better.

I'm gonna say MS-65, LDS and 6 full steps. Nice!

No question about full steps on that one, I'd say MS-65 FS if the luster is good. Nice photos, too!

I may be completely wrong, but my thinking is that die state and degree of FS are not as related as one would think. Die Deterioration affects the devices closest to the rim first and moves inward from there. The step detail is primarily dependant on strength of strike. I don't think any Jeff reverse dies were used long enough to show major deterioration in the step area. There would have been a physical die failure before that point.

Can you tell me what you used to take those photos? Very crisp. I need to replicate how you took those.

That is a solid FS nickel, no doubt. PCGS will give you FS. NGC will give you 5FS, and possibly 6FS even though the lower right has a little bridging going on between the lines. I noticed these grading services tend to be a little forgiving on older nickels. If I recall it correctly, PCGS in their videos refers to "super moderns" is anything from around the 1980's to current year where they have stricter rules on FS.
