I'm trying to identify this coin/token that my niece received as a tip today.

I do not have it in hand and these are the only pics available at this time.

It is a 1 Centavo struck by the United States for use in the Philippines from 1903-1936.

From 1908 to 1920 they were struck at the US Mint in San Francisco; from 1903-1908 and 1920-1922, at Philadelphia; and from 1925 to 1936 at the Philippines Manila mint.

The date is hard to read but looks like a 2 at the end so it could be 1912, 1922, or 1932.

The obverse features a Heraldic Eagle with arrows and olive branch perched atop a shield with thirteen stars; the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA surrounds the devices.

The date is underneath the shield.

The reverse features a man sitting at a blacksmith's anvil, a hammer in his right hand; an erupting volcano is in the background to the right; the legend ONE CENTAVO / FILIPINAS surrounds the devices.

Its value, other than as a conversation starter and neat memento, lies only in its intrinsic copper content of 0.1776 ounces, which has a current melt value of about 3.6 cents (USD $0.036) as of today; it is too worn and beat-up to have much numismatic value.
