Can you post a picture of your coin?

Here is the tutorial about uploading and posting images

And here is the CCF Free Image Optimizer to help crop your images.

Please preview your post/pictures to be sure they are rotated correctly.

The spacing on the numbers looks off, and since the first 1 is parallel with the rim, guessing a 7 was pushed by a feeder finger. A closer & clearer picture would help.

I am guessing it was 1971 and a feeder finger pushed the 7 out of shape. Try backing away from the coin to get a clearer picture.

EDIT - the ring and the damage to the 7 could be from a coin rolling machine.

Post Mint Damage
Not great pictures but it could be damage from a coin rolling machine.
In any case nothing to do with a feeder finger or anything else during production.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

First picture shows a clear circular 'scar' typical of a rolling machine. Sorry Dawd, it's just a dime.
