@pepactonius, why does the Magyar cross on the rev of your coin have two arms on one side but three on the other? That seems like an unusual error to make when engraving a die. Or maybe it is common design element and I just don't remember seeing that before? In any case, here is my Hungarian Denar dated AD 1614:   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

Most of my earlier denars seem to have a single arm on one side, and two arms on the other. Maybe the extra arms mean something?
In the case of these Sigismund III Polish coins, it is not the Magyar cross. It is the pilawa, the symbol of Balthasar Stanislawski who was the crown treasurer under Sigismund III for a few years. Gumowski call it a 2 1/2 cross. As best I can tell, it appears only on this type 1609-1616, so it is not such a common design element. It overlaps with the W, the mark of Stanlislaw Warszycki who succeeded him, and which we saw on those 3 polker coins of 1614-1616. The Magyar cross did appear on some coins of Poland in the 14th c. when Louis of Hungary was also king of Poland. Edited by tdziemia
