1944 Wheat Penny Error

On my 1944 Wheat penny, the L in Liberty is partially minted onto the edge of the coin. Could a mint error combined with the the age of this coin make it worth something? Thanks for your opinions!

(I wasn't able to get a good pic of the coin, but I will will upload one later if I succeed.)

If the L is into the rim it may be as simple as Die Deterioration.
