I think it's a collar clash, the rim of the reverse die struck the collar die and left that impression on the die

No. Just another abused coin. The heavy die flow also tells me it was an old senior die when your coin was struck.

There is a collar clash on the reverse and both dies show orange peel effect.

Nice I have an older quarter with the same effect on the rim but no orange peel effect.. Worth keeping either?

This is Die Deterioration, caused by a very worn die. There's tons of die flow lines, and also shows extreme die wear as well.

Oh yeah. I did miss that for some reason. Oops, my bad lol! The reverse shows a Collar Clash, along with heavy die flow lines.

Before I saw the picture of the reverse, there was Die Deterioration on the Obverse.
