Hi everyone, I've been cracking my head over this coin for some time! Any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated. It's 20mm across and about 1mm thick (or thin I should say...).

Well, to begin with the obverse is Dionysos, in the tradition of ancient coins of Thrace and other regions. The near perfect roundness is concerning (with regard to authenticity). Can you provide a better (larger) pic of the obverse, and perhaps some shots of the edge? Recommend kicking this over to the ancients/medieval board.

I agree with Bob, I afraid this is not a genuine coin.
Rest in Peace

Not a Coin, or a forgery. Perhaps a tourist piece.

Hmm, based on the blank reverse and round shape, I'm wondering if this was even meant to be a coin--perhaps it was originally a brooch or part of a button?

Thanks everyone, yes I think you're right, it's probably some sort of tourist piece.
