Could be legit but I never heard of them . Either way a 1960 proof Dime should not be going for this much money unless it graded at PF-67 Deep Cameo or better .

Looks like an old grading company from the 80's, not many slabs out there. I'd assume it's a very collectible piece due to its numismatic history, and it looks pretty cool, as well as the coin inside.

The toning on the dime is pretty desirable as well. My wife would pay premium for this particular coin.

The thought of a 1961 Mercury dime had me intrigued. I agree that the value is likely in the slab. In this case, buy the slab, not the coin...

I'm confused. Why are you calling it a Mercury dime?

As has been mentioned, this is a Roosevelt dime, not a Mercury dime.

There's two bidders that want it for their sample slab collection.

Wish it was a Mercury dime. That would be a real odd ball being a 1961. 25 Bidders already. Some people will buy anything I guess. I never heard of this place before but must exist, maybe.

It's a rare company's slab, and an unlisted sample slab as well. You have to remember in these cases it is not the coin that is the collectible and the object of desire, it's the slab.

To each their own, of course, but I collect too much already. I don't want to start a slab collection.
