Nearly every coin minted since the late 1800s will clearly state the name of the issuing country and/or ruler, the denomination, and the date. As long as you can type the inscription into a search engine (numista has a good one, but Google works too) you can probably find it.

Post pictures, and we will have almost anything identified in minutes!
