I have this penny that looks shiny. The actual look is away better than photos.

Would you tell me the name of it! the surface is not smooth.

That's exactly what it is. someone has experimented by dipping it in an Acid solution.It is now considered damaged but it is a good piece to keep for show and tell.

I never read about acid dipping

but keep learning thanks

by the way, I was studying in US before 7 years. Back to my country with thousands of US coins. Now I started searching them

It was dipped in acid unfortunately, but you can keep it as a pocket piece, if you like.

The reason its difficult to find about acid dipped coins online is b/c there are somany way in which a coin can be damaged. It would be impossible to list them all. Some kinds are more common though and so we know about them and can share. As another example, take this link to Dryer Coin
