Is it the same size as a cent?

If so, I'm betting nutso Lincoln collectors would pay a few dollars for it. Probably your best find

Haha! This is actually a pretty hilarious find! Definitely very unusual to find stuff like this.

Well, its the same size as a real penny. But the color is a bit off, as it is a pure brown. And the fact it is plastic makes it very light. But Meow did get it out a $25 box of pennies from the bank, so Meow paid a penny for it.

It makes me wonder how it got into the rolls? You would think that the coin machine would reject it, because it's so light.

Thank you so much Coop! Now we can use this image for future reference, if someone else has a plastic coin.

LOL. Anyway, I have a few of these myself. Mine weren't found in circulation, though. An interesting find.

I do not think that meowthekitty's cent is fake. I think it is a genuine Memorial cent that someone decided to carve into.

@longtrend, first welcome to CCF. Second, best practice is to start your own thread when posting a new coin. That way we are more easily able to find it using the search function. Certainly not a big deal, but maybe just for your future posts. In any case, I agree with E&V that your cent is damaged (not a Cud). Undamaged, it would have a modest premium over face value, but with this amount of damage it probably isn't worth much more than a few cents.
