I came across this 1970 or 76 dime with a super hick rim around it. Cutting threw the upper letters of liberty and so forth. Any idea if this is anything special?

Looks like a Dryer Coin. Does this rim still have ridges, or is it plan and curved?

Looks like a Dryer Coin to me as well, but I was wondering if you can takes pictures of the edge, so we can prove that it's etheir a Dryer Coin, or a spooned coin.

I don't think a Dryer Coin cause all the letters and numbers is cut significantly and the image is very close to the edge of the rim. Look like it got print on different dimension device. Can you weight it?

I have no idea what all that means but your coin is a Dryer Coin or some other form of tumbling action. The rim has rolled in over the top of the devices.Exactly how it was damaged is anybody's guess but it did not leave the mint looking this way. 100% PSD

Yes it is a so-called Dryer Coin. You can spend it.

Yeah it's just been constantly rolled until the edges flair out. It is termed a Dryer Coin because this is what happen s to a coin that has been tossed and turned in a cloths dryer for a long period of time. Also looks like the starting process for the old way of making coin rings called "spooning".
