You can't really do much about those Standing Liberty quarters . I read somewhere about bringing up the date on worn silver kind of like what we use on dateless Buffalo nickels . But I would say your SLQ's are ready for the melting pot .

The only date you could possibly determine is if you have a type 1 reverse, with no stars below the eagle. That would indicate a 1917 (or 1916). Otherwise, no way to tell.

Horrible mistake by the US Mint putting that date there. It is just gone now.
