Your Nickel shows severe Die Deterioration Doubling, caused by a very worn tired out die. The die was in a Very Late Die State (VLDS) when it struck your coin. This is a die wear issue. You can see the mushy details, and the heavy die flow lines going outwards. This die is at the end of its life, and should be retired now.
