I was glancing through it and noticed the 1946S kind of looked funny to me. . Maybe I am seeing things. But it sort of looks like a D under the S. Just cropping the full size pic won't work in this case. I have blown up and enhanced this area of your cent, but the pic is too pixelated for me to see enough. Right now, all I can discern is that there is a vertical scratch which cuts through the number 4 and into the mintmark. It is the diagnostic SW-NE angled die chip at 11:00 in the inverted "V" of Lincoln's vest. coppercoins.com has a great photo of the die chip. Report this Post to the Staff
