Meow has continued to CRH Quarters to prepare to fill Meow's first ever bought coin album. Meow came across a poorly struck quarter. Meow has seem many quarters with poorly stuck reverses. This is the first one Meow has ever found with a poorly stuck obverse. AND....... Meow has found this Cats first ever silver quarter CRH!(1964p)Only the second ever 90% coin Meow has found.

Now, on to the ATB Quarter album! After consulting with others here, Meow decided to but a Whitman brand album. Meow thanks all for the advice.

Congratulations on finding 90 percent Silver MeowTheKtty! I would also keep that 1983 P Quarter as a educational learning piece. It's in a Very Late Die State, and the die that struck your coin should have been retired a very long time ago!

I've seen bad '83 Philly issues but that one takes the cake for worst abuse of a pair of coin dies. Ouch!

Nice find on the silver, too!

So Meow is filling the ATB right now, and noticed the Florida Quarter looks a lot like the Delaware Quarter. anyone else ever notice that? Why could they not come up with a better design?
Rest in Peace

Maybe since most were a contest submitted design, the designer/winner was the same snowbird one of your relatives failed to meet...

Wow, that is one severely deteriorated die on that first quarter.

Congrats on finding 90% silver in circulation!

Not sure about the design of Florida and Delaware quarters.

More food for thought.

The reverse or tails side design on the Everglades National Park Quarter was inspired by the park's bird population. Designed by Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by Joseph Menna, it features an anhinga with outstretched wings on a willow tree along with a roseate spoonbill visible in the mid-ground. Inscriptions around the scene are EVERGLADES, FLORIDA, 2014 and E PLURIBUS UNUM.

Designed by AIP Artist Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by U.S. Mint Sculptor-Engraver Phebe Hemphill, the reverse or tails side of the new coin shows a great blue heron with a great egret slightly behind it. Both birds are standing within the refuge's tidal salt marsh. Inscriptions around the design include BOMBAY HOOK, DELAWARE, 2015, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.

1964 quarter. Meow's silver lined litter box should be complete in no time. Thanks, Doug.

Meow should have designed all of the ATB Quarters. Every one would have prominently depicted various domesticated Cats from all the states. Meow would think the Cat from Alaska would be essentially be a permanent indoor house Cat.

MeowTheKtty, that actually wouldn't be a bad idea! Maybe you can get a place to mint them for you. Then, if there's any errors or varieties that occured in the minting process, you can keep them in your collection for free, instead of the mint destroying them (I'm somewhat joking about this, of course.)

Meow would like to be the US Mint's official Cat! Meow will have a pouch, that would hold all the reject coinage Meow could covet from the production floor.
