I found this searching through my old collection of wheat pennies. I have seen where the filled in B in liberty is common for this date. Any other thoughts on this? Edited by Sgn 08/24/2018 12:21 am

Welcome! You'll learn a lot here if you hang around. What you're looking at is the result of a broken die post inside one of the loops of the B

To CCF! I would like to add, that the reason why you would see a ton of Die Chips and all of the other stuff, is because they would push these dies to their most extreme limits, to get as many strikes as they could out of these dies, until they were completely no good anymore.
Errers and Varietys.

@sgn, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes these are relatively common although yours is a nice example.

Thank you for the welcome and great feedback. I had to put my collection on hold for a few years, but recently got back into an error fascination after getting my son interested in coin collecting. Again, thank you.
