Came across this coin and would like to know if the circle on the reverse is a possible error or just damage ? All info is greatly appreciated!

I see that alot on cents and nickels - maybe from a coin rolling machine

Not done at the mint so not an error.
PMD of some sort, probably machine damage.

In what way? I save my .22LR casings. I can see if they do that but why would LJ just grind a .22 casing into a cent?

It's a damaged coin. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint).

Too bad on this one--looks like the obv had a slightly mis-aligned die, potentially with a bit of a Rim Fin at nine to eleven o'clock.
