Wow! "frank cents" on Google gets 15 hits and only 11 in Images This should keep me busy for awhile  All I've found so far is a dude named Frank Cents. Maybe you should give it back to him

Is frank still alive?.lol I got this in a collection that I was given by a friend of the family. I have all sorts of weird foreign stuff. But he did leave me a nice 1917-s Mercury dime in mint cond. Thanks for lookin

I like that, because it looks old, and a little worn like it got actual use. It reminds me of some mining town tokens we discussed a while back.

It looks like it might be a token. Like a token from Franks five & dime store or something

At 6 of April 1917 US went to sent their troops into battle at the Continent, where a large number of American soldiers were stationned behind the trenches. And they all needed a beer. So these copper tokens were given to the passing soldiers on their way to the battle, to buy beer on their way by local merchants. The US Army payed afterwards for consumption.1 Belgian Frank was equivalent to 5 US dollar cents. As the war continued, these tokens were reused by Allied officers in their mess.

valutarick thanks. Where did you find that information? Have you seen pictures of others of these anywhere. The only thing I found was someone selling a book on different tokens that looked close to mine. Boy I have been searching quite awhile.

The Dutch author Kooij have issued a catalogue of Dutch beer tokens and other kind of utilities. The Belgian do not have such catalogues, although these tokens can be found in large numbers over there.
