Came cross this coin and would like to know why it looks different in colors compared to others of the same year..

It's a Dryer Coin.

Dryer Coin did not come to mind for me. It has a lot of worn copper plating showing the zinc core. The color is cirulation toning.

I agree with @john1 that the grey color poking through is the zinc core. How the copper plating was rubbed off is anyone's guess. I suppose it could have been a dryer, but there are plenty of other ways. In any case, this coin is a spender--no extra numismatic value beyond face value.

Looks more like an abused coin. Just part of the plating was rubbed off. Very spendable.
