Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for ideas on how to store my PCGS slabs. I'm working on a full set of Mercury dimes, so I'll have about 80 total when I'm done. I was wondering if there is a realistic way of storing them or displaying them together. I would prefer not to have to take them out individually when I want to look at them, like I do now with them being in those blue PCGS storage boxes. Thanks in advance.
Rest in Peace

Here's what I started doing on my slabs. Have miscellaneous type coins, and a start of Jefferson proofs in mostly 68's. These are Guardhouse brand 9-pocket hard plastic pages. I can fit 5 pages in a 3" binder, that's 45 in each binder for your dimes. These slip in and out but are securely in place. Here's what they look like and I do a layout record of detail, #'s and small pix as well to document. Works well for me.

I use Lighthouse Slab Albums.

The 9-pocket hard plastic pages look the same as the posted Guardhouse.

They come in four colors and include a slipcase.

I actually use the Eagle Coin Slab Holder pages, and like that you can take individual slabs in and out without having to take-apart the pages.

The lighthouse pages use a "clamshell" page design where you have to open two halfs of the page to insert/remove any of the slabs, even just a single one. I find that a pain to work with, although they are definitely a bit more "secure" if you never plan to move around the contents of the pages. They can be found on the WizardCoinSupply site, and run about $6 for a 2-pack, so are about $3 per page.

Whereas the Eagle Coins holders have a little square recess and a flexible "retainer band" that lets you slip the slabs in and out one at a time.

Here is a link to the Eagle Slab Pages (PS: Good products, but terrible website).

You get 9 slabs per page , and can get 3 pages for about $13, or just over $4 per page.

I also use the Eagle pages for my proof albums, and like those as well.

I haven't used or seen the GuardHouse Slab Pages, but Guardhouse also makes "quality stuff", and if they allow you to take the slabs in and out one at a time, then they would be worth a look as well.

Yes, I would agree. Every time Crazyb0 shares photos of his collections, I am impressed with his storage and display methods.

Thank you for all the information thus far. One more question: Is there anything special about the binders themselves, or can you use any binder to fit the slab sheets?

You can use any 3-ring binder.
I usually get mine at Staples and like the "D-Ring" type, since it makes the pages lay flat.
Can go for 3 inch or 4 inch D-rings, depending upon how many pages you want in them.
I usually stay away from "White" since they tend to get dirtier easier then black or blue or other colors.

If you are building a specific "slabbed set", then Eagle Coin has a nice system that includes all the pages, a binder, and an "index page" that goes in the front of the binder. For example, I am doing this for a slabbed Peace dollar set.
Here is the link for the Peace dollar set for example, but they have many others:

But you can really do this yourself with just a binder and creating your own "index page"..
