This was the only date I was missing in the one penny BUC tokens.

A few bumps and dings, but I like it!

I'd try a little acetone soak to get rid of the green.

There's only 8 coins in a date set of these. 4 half pennys and 4 pennys. If you collect by Corteau variety, there's over 300. I think I'm going to settle for the date set.

I do like the die cracks. There's one to the left of the OF also. I picked out coins with interesting and prominent die cracks for my collection.

I will try to do something about that green stuff Okie.

There may be more to the die cracks. Look closely at the central devices:

I see a weak line continuing from the crack near "OF" all the way to the rider's hindquarters, down the south side of the leg, and from the foot to the second curl of the dragon's neck. If this is indication of a beginning crack, it looks like it would connect to the larger die crack between "D" and the final "A" of "CANADA." You might have a strike at the early stages of a rim-to-rim crack.

Great token and awesome pictures!

Its the variety PC-6B2 ( Royal Mint - Large «2») and Courteau #244 (Rarity 6).

Personally, I like this variety with the repunched letter "baNk" on reverse.

-----------------------------
Courteau #244 (Description from my book):
Obverse: The figure «2» is close to figure «5» and points to the left of tooth. Generally with several die cracks, especially through letter «Of» and between letters «canaDA».
Reverse: Two blades pointing to right rosette, the upper one is short and away from fruit. The letter «baNk» is defective (Double cut). Generally with a die crack through letter «Token». Perfect ring to anchor.
I'm sorry if my English isn't perfect... I'm learning a little more every day.
