Hoping for some opinions on this Lincoln Cent. Is triple strike the right error and what kind of value would you put on it? Worth sending in? Thanks!!

You're correct. It's a genuine Triple Struck Cent. On value, I'm not sure, but it's worth a good premium.

Looks like a vise job or someone put the edge of another cent on top and hit it with a hammer. The lettering is mirrored.
Edit-- It is as errers and varietys said. I enlarged the image and the lettering is correct.

11997755, this isn't a vise job. This is actually a genuine error coin.

I suspect the two off-center strikes were delivered in tandem (a saddle strike), rather than sequentially. Since the two off-center strikes are so small, it's not worth sending to a grading service.

A larger photo oriented properly makes it easier to see.
I agree with it being triple struck.
Hard to put a value on something like this as there is no book price
and they don't come up this often but it should bring a good premium.
Maybe one of our error collectors might say what they wold be willing to pay.

It depends on what you want it slabbed for.

If you collect slabbed coins then its a candidate b/c you like slabbed coins.

I you plan on selling it at auction, then slabbing a good coin will bring in more money.

If none of the above is the case, you need to ask yourself why you are thinking of paying someone to give their opinion of your coin and then encapsulate it in plastic.

Slabbing is an optional choice offered by companies so they can remain in business and come up with new ways of making that service more popular (just business sense). Nowadays, especially for people just entering the hobby, since they see slabbed coins are all over ebay, there is a false idea created that all good coins HAVE to be slabbed. Marketers love this idea.

That's a great way to look at slabbing . I only have one slabbed coin currently they I had sent in a 1911 weak d Indian quarter eagle which I sent in to verify was what I thought it was .
Rest in Peace

I wouldn't send it in to be graded. It is a legitimate error though - nice find!
