I have seen them in bags we pull off the coin machine, although the plastic pennies we see are usually in with the nickels. Just goes to show you that the machines aren't perfect.

Almost certainly. A while back someone posted a picture of a bag of 100 plastic cents (play money). The price tag on it was $3.99 or something like that. I wish I could find it.

I've found one in a Loomis roll before. Odd thing was is that the roll wasn't short, it just had an fake extra penny in it.

Actually that's the new Chinese counterfeit for our Lincoln Cent. But they produced an error by striking the word China on the reverse . Could be worth thousands .

I've found at least a dozen, in 5c boxes. Taking it to the extreme, I've found many cardboard

cut-outs, as well. Makes you wonder if they shut off the sensors when rolling.
