As Kiwi as fush and chups ;) 1953 New Zealand Florin, coronation year issue of HM Queen Elizabeth II / cameo proof strike with a total mintage of only 7,000. PCGS graded PR 64. 28.5mm.  A dateless 1790s Kronenthaler which I won for about the cost of its bullion: I paid $13.95 shipped, bullion value is $13.29.   A nice VF+ 1786 billon Kreuzer of Nuremberg. @CollectionMaster Very nice trio - but please post a better pic of the REV of the 1962. I think it looks like the harder to find type B REV. Although it might be a trick of the angle and the camera lens, I do think it is the Type B. Look here for pics of the markers to look for where our memeber Coop has a great graphic to help ID it. http://goccf.com/t/89148#738980The type B REV was an accidental using of a proof die to make circulated coins. Once you recognize one for what it is, its hard to miss another. If in doubt, compare it side by side with your 1963's REV which is the typical die. Earle, the 62 is in fact a Type B (nice catch!) Note that the tip of the closest leaf to the arrowheads extends above the topmost arrowhead. A couple of recent world coin pickups for me:   1752 Pfenning of Goslar (German States), Maria Mater Domini obverse w/Mary and infant Jesus.   A 2002 Centim of Andorra featuring Charlemagne. A friend sent me quite a few very nice looking Canada Small cents today. Just wanted to share some of the highlights from the lot. One of several toned cents.  My first Canada Cent Woody with a Lam error. Love the look of this one.  One of several Proofs in the lot. The only one not in a 2x2.  Thanks for looking  |
