Very nice Euro coin - But Now that the UK is out of the European Union, will they remove the UK from the coins?  Or at the very lease not give it a DCAM frosting? Edited by Dearborn

I'd already acquired a 1936 satin proof Buffalo nickel, but I also wanted an example of a brilliant proof. I just received this in the mail today. I couldn't manage to take a pic without any reflections; in hand it is untoned. Or as my wife, who has zero interest in my coins, said when I showed it to her, "Wow, that's really shiny!"  Now, on to the T1 and T2 matte proofs...  |

Thanks, Nycstirr! Buffalo nickels have consistently been one of my favorites over my decades of collecting, especially examples in gem or higher grades. Most of my Buffalo nickels I've chosen for my various type sets have subtle toning that I find just beautiful, though this one and the satin proof are both untoned. Member of SPMC, FCCB, ANA and ANS. Thanks, Dearborn! The "Wow, that's shiny" comment from my wife is probably the most excitement she's shown about any of my acquisitions. Well, other than the occasional "You spent HOW MUCH on that coin?!?!" Edited by hokiefan_82

@hokiefan_82: Nice proof Indian Head nickel! I once had a non-collector co-worker question me about whether a coin I showed him was genuine because it was "so shiny" and "smooth." It was a modern US Mint proof coin that was definitely genuine!  Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved.

I have quite a few in flips that were "left overs" from the rare occasion I would crack open a proof set, or were little extras that some dealers would occasional throw in with a purchase.
