I really like the Jefferson nickel on a cent planchet, but the reverse die cap particularly caught my eye. It's obviously a zincoln, and the resulting contrast between the copper and zinc along the edge I found very appealing. I'll gradually be adding additional examples to this small set, with focus on not simply finding examples of the different types of errors but very eye-appealing and/or unusual examples of each. I swear they were not picked off the ground or rescued from an air-vac. i'll be studying both of these coins later today. a very decent 1891 Morgan dollar! I have a place in my album for it. the next one's better: 1878 7/8tf variety! super cool & great condition, will also be added to the album. the note that came with it claims it is a VAM 41, but I'm not convinced. i'll be posting more pictures along with my thoughts & observations over in the VAM thread, hopefully later today.
