Just made my weekly rescue visit to the local silver salvage bins. Usually I ignore the USA stuff because it is highly picked over. This time I pawed through the dimes and found this highly toned merc, which was way too eye appealing to resist. The photos do it poor justice. Most of the toning is on the obverse. These are the non-USA gleanings (smaller coins): Non-USA (larger coins): My favorite of the pickings is the 1873 Victoria florin, which surely did not deserve the fate of being mixed in with all the well-worn latter-day Canadian minors headed for the melt bucket: I suspect I am probably paying too much for this stuff, but hey, it's a convenient source; I do not have to deal with the vagaries of ebay; and the pleasure of hand-picking through a tub lot of many pounds of random, poorly sorted coins that changes every week is worth a few points, yeah. Enjoy the pics.

Hey guys, just got my LAFAYETTE DOLLAR (yes it's the 1900 commemorative uber rare 30,000 mintage silver dollar) and she's a beauty! I got her for a steal at $350! I could easily resell this for at least 500 right now. I will be posting a picture as soon as I can.

Nice nickel, but choice AU might be a stretch....XF 40 might be a grade for that picture anyway. The flash may have washed out the details in the building and hair. All I got at McDonald's today was a 1956 Wheat cent!
