The prices on the 2016 ASE with Congratulations Set pedigree is crazy. So what if not too many of the coins in that particular packaging were made, the total number of 2016 ASE Proofs is fairly high, and the last time I checked could still be ordered directly from the mint. I see no logic in the pricing, after all are we buying coins or packaging?
The different ways that they are offered do matter to a lot of ASE collectors, they don't have to matter to you but they do matter in the market. There were under 6k of the sets sold which is minuscule for an ASE product.
