Any word on the Renewed Silver Dollar for 2018?
Will it be the 1958 British Columbia Totem Pole Silver Dollar?
I purchased my 2016 Renewed Silver Dollar from the Mint on Oct. 26, 2016....
Should be coming soon

Its out as part of the November 2018 RCM releases. It is reproduction of 1994 National War Memorial silver dollar. NOT the 1958 BC Totem. $194.95, mintage 4000, limit of 2 per customer

As you said in other topic: for some reason, RCM have changed the idea, that initially have been planted in this series: to renew the 'old' Silver Dollars. Weird and inconsistent. This series is a recent 'flagship' of NCLT. Have someone paid to someone there, in order to take the design of 1994 Dollar for 2018 instead of using 'default choice' of 1958 Silver Dollar? This is disappointment.

It bothers me that it's not a renewal of the 1958 SILVER dollar - the original impetus behind the series.

I really like the 1958 reverse and it would show well with the selective gold plate. That said, there are plenty of "silver" dollars they could have chosen... they have not shown great allegiance to the multiple of 5 or 10 year anniversary in the past. I think that the selection of a coin that was never a silver dollar was a mistake, regardless of how timely the subject matter may have been. I won't keep my hopes up for a renewal of the "Matthew" reverse from 1949 next year.

I really hope to see the 1949 Matthew and 1958 British Columbia Centennial! To your point, vonigohcr, I think both would look amazing with the gold plating in the wooden box.
I hope they get back on track with this series. Originally I was going to get this, then I said no, now I am leaning back to yes.

One week after release, and it is still not sold out at the RCM. That means it reach all levels of MC without selling out. Contrast that with the first renewed silver dollar that sold out in hours and others within a day or two. It tells us several things. They made a big mistake in choosing this coin (which is not even a silver dollar) over the 1958 silver dollar and there is no great demand for this one. Secondly the mintage is way too high at 4000 coins. And 3rd, perhaps the number of MC members have fallen over the years and that may have contributed to no sell out yet.

It's higher mintage and general lack of interest in most NCLT are the big reasons this coin is not exclusive anymore
