Recent addition to the SLQ album, bought for $122 off ebay. Looks AU58 to me. Thanks!

is the luster complete? it looks like it could be UNC with a soft strike if it is. I'm a little concerned about what looks like hairlines in the reverse fields

Luster more or less seems complete. The hairlines in these pics are just due to the light and angle, in my dansco album it looks fine.

Without the rev. hairlines, I'm at MS something. I just bought a 1917 type 2, PCGS MS-62 and it looks very similar to yours.
Rest in Peace

I'm at AU-58 . Looks like wear on head, inner shield ,some lower rivets and slight rub on breast plate .
I'm calling wear instead of weak strike . Reverse is nice .

Slight wear on the right thigh and breast plate, AU-58, possibly details if the reverse hairlines are visible under magnification. Very attractive.

MS would not surprise me. you can see affects of soft strike on the obverse on the rim from 2 oclock to 4 oclock and the date itself. conservatively solid AU58 but I'm in at MS63. I think its worth getting it graded.

the hairlines on the reverse appear to be die polish lines as they do not appear to cross over the devices
