What I'm looking at is the word LIBERTY. Looks like doubling to the left of the I, R, T & Y. There is also an area at the bottom corner of his shoulder.

Looks like a DD to me, only it's not listed anywhere.

Thoughts?

On CCF, any Lincoln Cent is considered Modern, so I moved your post to the appropriate section for the proper attention.

Please review the forum section descriptions, so posts are made in the correct section.

There's only one Doubled Die Obverse known for this year, and WDDO-001 shows strong extra thickness on the date, LIBERTY, and IGWT. You might want to check, just in case. http://doubleddie.com/467734.html

I did, but maybe I need to go back and check again.
That's actually how I found this. I was looking for that variety, and found this. It reminds me of some of the double dies I have seen (such as the ones on the memorial, between the pillars).

John, thanks for the link. Bookmarked!
I don't see where this one fits in, so I still don't know what it is or what to call it.

Thank you so much for your time! I've learned a lot (hey,.,, got those MD down lol), but I still have some that I need to figure out.

Soo.... what do you think of those bulges to the left of the I, R & T? (not to the right. that's just the lighting).

Maybe I need to post better pics?

On LIBERTY, your seeing on the left side of the devices, Die Deterioration. On the single squeeze dies you will see this in the direction to the closes rim.

On the motto, the tops of the devices is where this also be found. (this can be seen on just one area, or two areas or on all devices) THe most common ones are usually on the date, LIBERTY or motto.

They say an image can replace a thousand words. So seeing, is better than explaining without it. IE: When was the last time you read a manual from anything you Bought? If they put more images on them and less talk, people would be more in tune to read with images more often. (well that works better for me)
