Thank you for responding. I just saw a post back from 2016 that guy found double die 82 penny. Also Coop made a lot of a great points in that thread. I'm gonna try to only post if I find anything legit.

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.

I don't see a doubled die. Possibly damaged mintmark punch or die chip.

If you are looking at the mint mark, they are referred to as RPMs until 1989. After 1990, they are called doubled dies. (Mint mark punching ended in 1989.

The date is wrong on your thread. 1974 instead of 1973.
