Are you talking about the damage on the reverse on the Memorial? Looks like a knife or chisel hit the coin displacing some metal.

And please preview your post/pictures to be sure the images are rotated correctly.

Die cracks flow over devices. On the PSD, it is incuse. A sure sign the coin was altered.
