Came across these while going through 16 rolls of dollars. They are silver coins with visible copper on the edges.
I'm assuming that they are missing the gold plating.
Looking for input from the CC.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving CC.

@RH could they have been plated after leaving the mint?

They are perfectly smooth so it's obvious that no environmental damage was done to the coins. The image don't come close to doing them justice, they are "near" perfect. Except for a couple of scratches.

The Sacagawea is environmental toning. I have a boatload of those things with some looking just like that. The other dollar coin, I'd be willing to say the same thing, environmental toning.

I don't think they are plated,they are clad. Looks like environmental damage to me as well.

They are clad, not plated.

Pres/ Native American $1
Composition consists of a core of pure copper with an outer layer of manganese brass consisting of 77% copper, 12% zinc, 7% manganese and 4% nickel.
Including both the core and outer layers, the overall composition is 88.5% copper, 6% zinc, 3.5% manganese, and 2% nickel.
Diameter = 26.5 mm and weight = 8.1 g
Missing one clad layer weight approximately 5.8 g - 6.1 g

Suggest checking by weighing your coins.

Sacagawea and Presidential dollars aren't plated, they're clad. Most likely some environmental damage/toning.
