You have seen doubled die. Some minor some extreme. The 1955 DDO comes to mind as the strongest one. You have heard of Tripled dies as well. These tend to be not as wide a spread as you would think. But How about a Quad die?

So how does that compare with a normal die?

CPG number calls it a TDO. But Rick Snow calls it as it right fully is a Quad Die.

Interesting die. The USA is is the only areas affected. But that reason is another story.

@Spence, Dr. Wiles describes the 1936 DDR-001 (FS-801) Buffalo nickel as "Strong spread with triple on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and quad on FIVE CENTS and buffalo's back legs."
