US Mint - This set includes five proof quarters from the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program honoring Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts; American Memorial Park in the Northern Mariana Islands; War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam; San Antonio Missions National Historical Park in Texas; and Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho.

2019-United-States-Mint-America-The-Beautiful-Quarters-Silver-Proof-Set-Available-February-21,-2019

The 2019 United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set™ features all five 2019 America the Beautiful Quarters minted in 99.9 percent silver. The silver in these coins can be seen by viewing the edge of the coin in the lens. The coins are then packaged in a protective lens to showcase and maintain their exceptional finish.

The 2019 edition of the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set is the 10th annual release of five quarters in the series.

Each coin in this series features a common obverse (heads) with the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan, restored to bring out subtle details and the beauty of the original model. Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "QUARTER DOLLAR."

The 2019 reverse (tails) honors these sites with unique designs:

Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts
The design depicts a mill girl working at a power loom with its prominent circular bobbin battery. A view of Lowell, including the Boott Mill clock tower, is seen through the window. Inscriptions are "LOWELL," "MASSACHUSETTS," "2019," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

American Memorial Park in the Northern Mariana Islands
The design depicts a young woman in traditional dress at the front of the Flag Circle and Court of Honor. She is resting her hand on the plaque whose text honors the sacrifice of those who died in the Marianas Campaign of World War II. Inscriptions are "AMERICAN MEMORIAL PARK," "N. MARIANA ISLANDS," "2019," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam
The design portrays American forces coming ashore at Asan Bay, strengthening the number of troops on the island in the fight for Guam and its eventual liberation. Inscriptions are "WAR IN THE PACIFIC," "GUAM," "2019," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

San Antonio Missions National Historical Park in Texas
This design depicts elements of the Spanish Colonial Real coin to pay tribute to the missions. Within the quadrants are symbols of the missions: wheat symbolizes farming; the arches and bell symbolize community; a lion represents Spanish cultural heritage; and a symbol of the San Antonio River represents irrigation methods and life-sustaining resources. Inscriptions are "SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS," "TEXAS," "2019," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho
This design depicts a piloted drift boat on the rushing river encompassed by the trees and rock formations of the wilderness. Inscriptions are "RIVER OF NO RETURN," "WILDERNESS," "IDAHO," "2019," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

I wait until summer and buy both proof sets. Kind of pointless to buy just the quarters unless that's your thing.

Of course it is. My thing is just the quarters, so I'm in.

The Mint changed the composition on the Ag ATB Quarters this year to 99.9% Ag versus the traditional 90% Ag.

I haven't seen anything about the full Ag set yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Ag Kennedy half and Ag Roosevelt dime aren't changed to 99.9% as well

I see they must have kept them the same size as before because the weight is up from 6.25 to 6.34 grams. They could have rolled the stock slightly thinner and kept the same weight.

I am sure it was easier to leave everything else as is. Assuming they gave it any thought at all.

I have this set on product enrollment for my ATB albums. Always a beautiful set.
