Counterfeit, but you probably know this already. You don't get a genuine coin like this for £20.
Replacement value: £1 with free shipping from China.

nss-52,keith12 Thank you for your reply! So I met someone to get from him a coin that I bought on ebay, local pickup basically. He said to me he has three more coins that he'd like to sell, a 1764 bavarian thaler,an 188? dollar and this one.I said I'm not interested in this first two but i'd buy the last one if the price was low and he said 20£ is fine. Now,i can assure you that the coin that I initially bought from him is 100% genuine and the other two were too.The seller was not a coin dealer or a collector! nss-52 Are you suggesting that I'm pretending or playing stupid?I bought extremely rare coins in the past for almost nothing so I'm not surprised if sometimes luck is on my side!

I'm agreeing with the other members that this coin looks fake.

paulCT, I wasn't sure if the coin was fake just from your photos in the first post, but your second post convinces me that the coin is fake.

llewellin And what exactly makes you think it's fake?I'm actually trying to learn why all of you consider it to be fake.I don't disagree but since I have no experience with this type of coins I would expect an argument. Thanks!

Quote: llewellin And what exactly makes you think it's fake?I'm actually trying to learn why all of you consider it to be fake. I am not that familiar with this series but I do not see anything glaring that would say it is a fake? I could be wrong but it actually looks like it could possibly be an 1809 107a variety? Quote: You don't get a genuine coin like this for £20. If this is the ONLY reason why it I s a fake then I do not believe it to be fake. I am trying to learn as well and this kind of comment is useless. Can someone please confirm it is real or fake with reasons why for either?

An accurate weight and diameter will settle this debate.

Of course it could be a quality counterfeit but it is not an arm's length cheap cast copy that is obviously fake.
The weight and diameter are perfect and the edge lettering appears genuine so I'd like to know more......

Here's the OP's reverse vs a high-end genuine O-109b.
