I was at an estate sale (auction) with little bidding competition, and bidders were looking for spot pricing. I won the following two lots.
The first lot of ten Austrian coins was $85 (top 3 are two deep), so just shy of spot value. They are modern, but I like the coins.
The second lot of ten are Italian coins, with the bottom rows being pre WWII (top two are two deep), and I paid $55 (roughly 20% over spot). These are much more interesting pieces to me personally. All in all, I got a lot of collectible coins from this estate sale for very cheap. I wish everyday could be like this Edited by Jadey 12/20/2018 05:52 am

Looks to be some nice pick-ups! I think my fave is that 500 Lire from the Vatican.

Nice coins! Those older Liras are also worth much more than melt.

My grandparents came over from Sicily, a place that I want to visit and scoop up some of these cool silver foreign coins in person.
Compared to American coins many of these coins seem to represent some very old events and individuals.

Those old Italian coins have extremely artistic designs.

Looks like you got a 1908 2 lire there in outstanding condition. Depending on how the other side looks you could very well cover what you paid for everything with that one coin. Great score :)

very well spotted, I can tell you many of the estate sales I have been to sell coins either way to expensively or fakes makes me cry when I see people bid on fake flowing hair dollars. :S

@Jadey -
Great close-up of the L-2! The detail is glorious - classic design. If I ever see one for sale I'll be sure to nab it. Well done.
