We had a Dodge 440 a long time ago. It did not have factory AC. My Dad told everybody it had a 440 air conditioner in it —- roll down 4 windows and drive 40 miles an hour! That wagon was great for hauling around the little league team! Fun times with great memories! Thanks for posting!

once upon a time I was the proud owner of a burgundy 1988 oldsmobile custom cruiser station wagon. when it was running well it was like riding on a cloud. that car did several trips back & forth between michigan and key west, the final trip in 1995, sold that car in '97 and have been on a bicycle since then. finds of late have been on the paltry side, not much to talk about, but I picked this 2006 czech republic coin from a water machine a couple nights ago. slightly smaller than a quarter, slightly larger than a nickel:   it's still very gleamy despite the circulation wear, probably was very proof-like when it was freshly-minted. |

I believe it was a Ford Country Squire that was passed off as a "Truckster" of some sort. You could actually peel off the fake wood (plastic) paneling on a hot day pretty easily. Fun times! |

tonight I picked $2.09, all well-scattered change.  that is worth a dancing apple. that's the most I've picked in one night so far this month and just the third night that I've picked more than $1. that excellent haul of 5 quarters, 5 dimes, 3 nickels and 19 cents boosted the running total to $299.30. I should crack the three hundred-mark this week, but who knows... looks like rainy season is about to show up again, plus I'm hearing chatter about yucatan tropical development moving north by next week. our local forecast indicates elevated rain chance for the next several days and next tuesday & wednesday calls for increased winds. nothing crazy (yet), but it bears watching. it could be a soggy end to september, so realistically there will probably be a decrease in nightly finds thru the 30th. i'll be prepared for the worst, but i'll remain undaunted and optimistic. I need to find all that I can for the next nine weeks and three days.  but whatever the weather, the cats come first.  |
