My kid found a folded up bill under a restaurant table. It was $100. Quite a few years ago now and no pic. We discussed and decided it was too difficult to find the rightful owner on something like that so we kept it.

a personal milestone has been reached: (according to my sketchy notes) going into last night I needed just $1.70 to achieve $3,000 found (in total, over 6 years) on the streets... last night I picked $2.08 in well-scattered change, which bested the mark by thirty-eight cents-- four days sooner than I predicted, and I predicted that right after I found those benjamins; I calculated i'd hit the $3K-mark by the spring equinox, next tuesday.. so that was a pretty good guess, lol.. actually, since cycle 17 began 19 days ago I've noticed a slight uptick in nightly finds, maybe due to it being spring break, hard to say, but I'm glad whatever the reason is. i guess the next milestone i'll be looking forward to achieving will be an accumulated total of 1 full ounce of gold derived from street finds. I'm not sure when that'll be, but I know I'm close. I need to sit & do some maths & think & stare at the calendar a while.

My university's spring break is the week following this upcoming (March 25-29), so I'm anticipating a decrease in the amount of finds that week as everyone leaves for your neck of the woods, Mr. Pink - stay tuned, it's not over yet...
Another good day yesterday at $2.55; $1.75 of that came from one machine.

The good citizens of Galveston are either very careful with their cash or just use cards. I haven't found a single cent on the ground!

My roommate found 2 folded $100 bills the other night on a walk, he brought them to me to be sure they weren't fake... Real as can be, they were found off a sidewalk a few hundred yards from my newer work place, so the next day on my rounds (I drive a golf cart to check for trash, and security issues) I drove by the area he found them at, no luck as to more. I figured with my new part-time job at a storage facility, I'd find more than I have so far. Under .50 in change a few cents here and there, and the 20 centavos off a costume, which I already posted about. I did find one really unusual item a few weeks ago, a super tiny uncirculated German bit of play money, a 5 mark Kindergeld, about half the size of a US dime. That was unexpected and neat. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/ex...ia87788.html

Just picked up a Honduras 1 Lempira note from the sidewalk in Roatan, where my cruise called today. It has a face value of about 5 US cents!
