Is it normal to find 200+++ wheat cents and some Indian Head cents in a modern box of pennies from the bank?

What if I told you that this guy had three boxes of these just like you see in this video? Before you get excited.... yes, he opened them all already and already unwrapped all the coins ;)

I once picked up two bags of cents (same as four boxes) and picked out over 3800 wheat cents. So it is a real possibility.

Just like these boxes filled with silver, imagine an older collector who dies and has all these wheat cents. The heirs don't know the value or don't want to lug them to a distant coin shop for 3 cents each, so off they go to the bank!

That is exactly what happened on the two bags of cents. The teller at that bank actually takes the change back behind the counter and dumps it into the change machine. The teller actually told the individual that they may want to keep them. I think grandpa died. They knew they were wheat cents and told the teller to dump them anyway. The teller knew I would come in to get the bags because I picked them up every Monday. The carrier runs on Tuesday. The teller was smiling when I went in to get them.
