I am a novice collector and a few years ago I found a 1996 p Roosevelt dime that appeared to be stamped with a small blank to start and never filled the die. I did some research back then and found nothing. Have had this dime in my safe for a few years and now I am looking into it again. If anyone has any info about it please let me know.

To CCF! It has been altered outside of the U.S. Mint. It's not an error at all. Just Post Strike Damage ( PSD). Your Dime is only worth 10 cents.

To the CCF

I agree with John1, it's a Dryer Coin.
If you check the diameter, you will probably find
that it is smaller.

Also looks like an acid dipped coin.
