text of Titles are important link

I have added it this time, but you should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.

If that is an error coin then I have a cull box full of them . NO, what you have is called PSD . Damaged after mint striking . probably intentional .

@n2lr, sorry but I only see damage on this one--you can see that the metal has been "smushed" up at the edge of the various gouges. It is a Wheat cent, but in this condition, I'm not sure if even worth more than face value.

Just one nick on a coin turns it into a cull coin. (yours has several) Just a damaged coin. Worth face or copper scrap weight.
