Is this 1942 Washington quarter with the circular indention around the rim an error coin that is worth more than other 1942 Washington quarters?

@miamyo, first welcome to CCF. Second, that partial ring looks like damage to me. You know of course that this quarter is silver, but that pesky scrape removes most of the numismatic value above melt.

That's caused by a Coin Wrapping Machine.
Very common and seen many times on this forum.
No extra value as it is PMD.
Still worth bullion value though.

Thank you. I've inherited a large coin collection of everything from pennies to dollars, most are encased or in albums. The ones that are not, well I'm trying to learn as quickly as I can. Your help is much appreciated.
