You don't normally see that "bronzish" toning on the obverse on UNC Morgans.

that bronzish toning is from my lamp. its supposed to be a led desk lamp but its so dang bright I had to put tape over it just to tone it down a little. ill try to get some better pictures. if I email them would they give me specifics?

If you can't see it inhand, there's no way we will be able to in photos without random guessing. Is that ICG or ANACS.

I am thinking re submit to another TPG'er. An accompanying note may or may not help.

The speckled areas around America might be a clue.

The obverse appears dulled out on the face. That would be my guess. Overdipped?

How about you start by showing these pics correctly oriented, if you would.

It's not because of a dipping. Quote: Is that ICG or ANACS. ICG slab

If we can indulge in guesses, perhaps the cheek has been smoothed. I once had a Morgan with a nice obverse cameo look. I was told it had been "improved" by adding a putty-like substance to hide scratches on the cheek. I could not see the alteration myself but that was the reason given by the TPG for not grading it.

maybe its this area that is causing the designation. it appears to be some type of filler.

You're oriented correctly, but now your pics are too large.
