This is a current favorite. A common 1813 O-110 bust half. The clashed E PLURIBUS UNUM is visible just above the date. But what's of more interest to me is the "hair comb" formed by the clashed shield. The comb passes UNDER the ear, as the clash only embeds the surface of the opposing die and doesn't affect deep die details. The visibility of the clash varies from coin to coin. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***"Two minutes ago I would have sold my chances for a tired dime." Fred Astaire

My favorite is Canadian but there's this new one. Pretty faint though (Liberty's profile right of One Dime). 1899-P.

I've been studying the reverse of a Kennedy half trying to figure out what produces the horns Earle42. It looks like the olive branch. The other clashed features look like wingtips and rays.

Clashes are relatively common on nickel three-sent pieces, but this one is particularly strong and it came with a clip to boot: Sean

Back when I collected date sets, Buffalo nickels were my favorites. There are a great many error coins in the series. The so-called "whiskers" die clash, found on a few of the earlier years, was a fun one to find. The "whiskers" typically wore down with circulation. Note the LIBERTY clash ...

I showed this in a different forum a few weeks ago, but it should've been placed here. Some may have missed it for that reason. 1908 gold indian die clash ...Eagle's neck/wing and partial beak in the Indian's neck
