Unfortunately I did not have a scale or a ruler but it was about 10 mm in diameter, and one of these thin bracteate types, so likely no more than a gram.
I have unfamiliar with the design so I could not ascertain a logical orientation. The owner THOUGHT it might be Merovingian but I would not assume anything.
@Kushanshah, I don't know where the guy got it. He brought it to our coin club and wanted me to help ID it. For all I know it could be a fake or fantasy.
