Looks flat and reduced in size, so I'm guessing MD. I'm no expert so don't take my word for it, but looks to be Machine Doubling. -CH27

No, that's Machine Doubling. On the ATB Quarters, you're supposed to look for Doubled Dies in the middle, since they happen in the middle of the design. That's usually how the Single Squeeze era Doubled Dies work on the ATB Quarters.
Errers and Varietys.

A DDR on this series, shows on the center of the coin on both sides. The devices on the reverse in the outer loop area are incuse devices. These are raised on the dies. So Machine Doubling is just opposite of raised devices. Any die movement enlarges the devices by Machine Doubling. About 70% of these quarters have this MD, either minor or exaggerated. None of these are known as a doubled die. On the 2013 shield cents, on the EPU area, which is also incuse devices, show DDRs on incuse devices by them being reduced in size on the DDRs and enlarged on MD. So when the devices are raised, there are a set of things we note as general rules. But on the incuse devices, the rules change to opposite rules. These are common quarters. Not doubled dies. DDRs are in center of the designs. Take a look at John Wexler's site to see what to look for. Save yourself a lot of time on the States and ATB Quarters. Look to see what to look for on them, where to find doubled dies.

On motto: left sides of the devices is Machine Doubling. Right side Die Deterioration. Looks more like a VLDS example. MD on reverse on the incuse devices. Very spendable unless you want it as a conversation piece to show to new ones what's collectible and spendable.
